TREDISMO
art

TREDISMO represents a distinctive artistic technique, born from a process of experimentation and innovation, and inspired by traditions of painting that emphasize relief. Initiated in late 2018 with explorations of pronounced reliefs on hard panels, the practice reached a pivotal moment in mid-2019 with the creation of the first three-dimensional painting on canvas.

The inaugural work employed a treated sponge cube — a medium whose capacity for softness and textural richness proved essential to the visual language of the piece. By extending painting into the third dimension, TREDISMO defines a new artistic language.

Branko Jovanovic

The awards winning artist

A versatile artist, he seamlessly navigates diverse mediums, ranging from oil and pastel painting to the creation of terracotta works, including amphorae and vases, as well as photography. His artistic vision extends to hairstyling, where he transforms models into living canvases.

He has created artistic hairstyles for theater and film and has exhibited his paintings and photographs in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy and Serbia.

He has participated in over 50 solo and group exhibitions and has received numerous prestigious awards and honors for his artistic achievements. He is the originator of a unique synthesis of painting and sculpture, which, through its three-dimensional effect, has evolved into a distinctive artistic movement known as Tredismo.

Tredismo

A sponge, when treated, gives the canvas a strong effect of softness. Looking at the cube, I thought of a name, and the word ‘Cubism’ came to mind — but of course I could not use that name. Cubist paintings are works in two dimensions, while my painting evolved into three dimensions: and thus the name TREDISMO was born.

Popismo

Inspired by the Pop movement, the work is brought to life through abstract, swift, and forceful brushstrokes, layered with textured paint. The colors, arranged in alternating sequence, radiate in beams of contrast emerging from deep, kindred shades.

Photoart

My second passion is photography! I developed a technique with my retouched photographs and black and white printer on paper, and then colored in different techniques, chrèon, pastels, markers ... Inspired how the first color photographs were made, and photographers colored them with watercolors, and pop-art styles that it never goes out of fashion.
